The Detail AutoHaus Story: From Tools to Transformation
Every business has a story, but ours is built on passion, persistence, and a relentless pursuit of perfection. Detail AutoHaus wasn’t created overnight—it’s the result of years spent under the hood, late nights in the garage, and a genuine obsession with making cars look their absolute best.
From Mechanic to Detailer: The Early Years
My automotive journey began in 2005, working as an automotive mechanic. For 16 years, I lived and breathed cars—learning every bolt, gasket, and gear. While the mechanical trade sharpened my technical skills, over time I found myself craving something more creative and hands-on with the finished product.
The Spark: A Disappointing Detail
In 2016, I launched Mobile AutoHaus, offering mobile detailing services on the side. Around this time, I became deeply invested in car detailing content, watching Ammo NYC, Obsessed Garage, and Pan The Organizer on YouTube. Their passion and attention to detail struck a chord.
The real turning point came in 2017 when I took my BMW E46 M3 for a ceramic coating, expecting a flawless finish. Instead, I left disappointed. When I raised my concerns, the detailer responded, “If you think you can do it better yourself, then go for it.”
Challenge accepted.
Obsession Takes Over
That weekend, I purchased a bottle of CarPro UK 3.0 and ceramic coated my M3 myself. I studied every tutorial, followed each step meticulously, and ensured no detail was overlooked. The result was transformative—and I was instantly hooked.
That Christmas, I received a ShineMate dual-action polisher, and from that moment on, I polished everything I could. Friends, family, and anyone willing let me detail their cars—free of charge—just so I could refine my skills and experience the transformation firsthand.
Turning Passion into a Profession
By 2019, detailing had evolved into more than a hobby—it became my side hustle. After finishing mechanic work, I would head straight to detailing jobs from 5pm to midnight, three days a week. Weekends were fully dedicated to detailing.
The process was disciplined and relentless:
- Evening washes
- Overnight drying
- Next-day paint correction
- Night-time ceramic coating
- Sundays reserved for interiors and final inspections
By Sunday night, vehicles were ready for pickup—perfected and protected.
The Leap: Detail AutoHaus Is Born
As 2020 arrived, demand surged. What started as a side project quickly became my main focus. In 2021, I took the leap—Mobile AutoHaus closed, and Detail AutoHaus was born as a full-time professional detailing studio.
Since then, our reputation has been built on the same obsession and passion that started it all. We use industry-leading products, continuously refine our techniques, and treat every vehicle as if it were our own pride and joy.
